Good Afternoon from Lila in Atlanta,

I did just that. I went all the way back and watched as you "got" your precious little girl. Beautiful pictures by the way!
I am Lila Huggins. My hubby of 36 years, and I have two grown up beautiful girls and 8, yes, 8 magnificent grandchildren! I help homeschool the four youngest ones, Caleb, Julien, Ilana and Sadie. As a school project, because nannie (me) LOVES kids and wanted to adopt one herself, we started following the China adoptions. And then we found some from Georgia and they were especially exciting! We hope you don't mind us following along on your amazing journey with Emily. She is BEAUTIFUL by the way! Just Beautiful!
I'm trying to share with my grandchildren the beauty of adoption and foster parenting. Ilana, my nearly 6 year old granddaughter says she wants two little girls from China or Korea when she gets married when she's 35. LOL. I asked her how many she wanted to have from her tummy and she said, NONE! I said, "really and why is that?" She said, "because there are too many little kids that need mommies and daddies already." So I think they got the point of our month long study.
My dear hubby and I were filling out our forms to adopt from China when I found out I have breast cancer and then of course we couldn't. But it's what I have wanted in my heart for many years. Ever since our youngest, Carrie, married and left home 16 years ago. Thanks to bloggers I can now share in this glorious experience with others. Thank you so much for sharing with us,
Lila (nannie)

PS Did you ever find a new nannie?
I know a good one!
